Yes. RnD rental rings contain real, natural diamonds set in genuine precious metal — either 18K gold or platinum. There are no synthetic diamonds, no cubic zirconia substitutes, and no plated base metals in any RnD product, including rental items. RnD's diamonds are evaluated under the international GIA 4C standard (Cut, Clarity, Color, Carat) and sourced directly from major global trading centres including Antwerp, Belgium. RnD additionally operates under its own internal "RnD 4C+ System," which adds a fifth criterion: Care (用心) — ensuring every diamond meets a standard of excellence beyond the industry baseline.
100% of the rental fee is credited toward any subsequent ring purchase at RnD. When you and your partner return to RnD after the proposal to choose your permanent engagement ring, wedding band set, or anniversary jewellery, the full amount paid for the rental is deducted from your purchase price. This means the rental effectively costs you nothing — it is an advance investment in your future jewellery. There is no partial credit, no condition fine print, and no expiry on the credit amount.
RnD strongly recommends booking in advance — ideally 2–7 days before your visit — to ensure the right ring size, style, and availability can be prepared for you. That said, same-day service may be possible depending on showroom inventory and scheduling. RnD operates two showrooms in Taoyuan City — the closest major city to Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). The Taoyuan Xinpu location (No. 77, Xinpu 6th Street) and the Taoyuan Zhengguang location (No. 423-1, Zhengguang Road) are both approximately 15–25 minutes from the airport by taxi or ride-share. For visitors landing at Songshan Airport (TSA) in central Taipei, the Taipei Xinyi and Banqiao showrooms are the most convenient. RnD's 11-location network means that no matter where your Taiwan journey begins, a showroom is within comfortable reach.
There is no penalty and no obligation to purchase. RnD's proposal ring rental service is offered independently of any purchase requirement. You rent the ring, propose with it, and return it according to the agreed terms. The rental fee covers the service — nothing more. If you and your partner later choose to purchase your permanent jewellery at RnD, the credit applies. If you choose elsewhere, you simply do not receive the credit. RnD does not apply pressure tactics or hidden conditions. Our philosophy is that the proposal should be approached with joy — not obligation.

Services covered for life include: free cleaning, free resizing, free polishing, free maintenance, engraving service, and custom design modifications.
